fairCT opens self-serve conformance testing for data contributors
fairCT has opened a conformance environment that allows a data contributor to test and certify on its own schedule.
Conformance testing has traditionally required booking a slot, joining a conference call, and iterating with a remote counterpart. Each correction costs a further slot and a further call, and several weeks typically pass between a contributor being technically ready and being live.
With the new environment, a contributor begins a run at a time of its choosing, without arranging a slot in advance. Results can be achieved within hours, and a contributor that identifies an issue can correct it and run again straight away.
Contributors that do not operate their own test automation are equally well served. The tests are expressed in plain business language, so a firm can work through them manually.
Testing is automated, so a firm can see its own position before submitting anything. A fairCT operator reviews each passing session and confirms the final status, confirming a result the contributor has already seen. The environment also reproduces the conditions of a live connection, allowing a contributor to identify weaknesses during testing.
The result is a shorter and more predictable path to going live, and one the contributor manages itself.
